How my friend, Heather, described Azlyn..."When she looks at you, she makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room"...so sweet and so true. Her smile is amazing!
Jaxon was trying to get a rise out of me so he lightly slapped my leg and tried to run away. I quickly picked him up and said, "What do you say to mama?" He said, "ssssss - hamburger." I paused and said, "That's hilarious." He laughed and said, "I'm sorry." I am impressed I have been able to teach him sarcasm before he even turns 3!
Imagine Jaxon jammin' on his new guitar, holding it backwards, and singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Azlyn smiles and dances to the rythm - so cute! Then, when he is done, he says, "I love that song!"
They are too fun!

A Mother of Two
I went to a workshop on how to teach writing today. The presenter had us write about something that we knew all about. He gave us an example such as "If you're not from Texas..." or "If you're not a teacher..." We had 6 minutes to write. When we were done, I shared mine with my friend, Gina. She said I should keep it to share with my kids one day.
If You're Not a Mother of Two
If you're not a mother of two, you don't understand the emotional rollercoaster that takes you from pure joy and pride to extreme frustration and exhaustion. You don't know how to manage the balance of independence and obedience. You don't know how 1 minute you're watching the amazing sibling bond and the next, you're protecting a sibling. If you're not a mother of two, you don't know absolute and complete love.

9 months

Oh, Azlyn Elise, you are just too sweet! You are growing and changing every day. I can't believe how much you have learned these last few weeks.
- You weigh 17 lb and 5 ounces. You are 27 inches long.
- You are graduating from the army crawl to the knee crawl.
-You pull up on everything and anything. You even let go and only hold on with one hand.
- You tried to follow me up the stairs and made it to the 3rd step before I caught you!
- You say hi, call me mama, and say other things that sound like dada, dot, and bubba.
- You love to scream and laugh with your brother.
- You jump out of my arms to get in the bath tub.
- You are nearly impossible to feed with a spoon. You only want food you can pick up yourself!
- Your 2 bottom teeth are starting to grow in.
- You are finally getting real hair. It gets thicker everyday! It actually looked kind of normal today! : )
- You can play for a long time by yourself now, and you love to take out ALL the toys.
Most mamas don't want their babies to grow up, but I love watching you grow and change each day. It means I got to spend one more day knowing you and loving you!
