Hot Stuff!

I gave Jaxon half my taco. He took a bite and walked away. I told him to sit back down and eat his taco. He said, as clear as day, "That taco is too spicy for me." I accidently gave him a taco with HOT salsa. Oops! It was so funny how he just walked away and then clearly explained why he could not eat it. This is why I sometimes forget he is only 2!

A name

Background information: Jaxon has been watching a lot of Toy Story.

Jax looked on the bottom of his shoe and said, "There is a name on there."

I asked whose name, and he said, "Daddy!"

Awwwww, he belongs to his daddy.

Just start writing...

I want to update this blog more often. Throughout the day, I think and plan what I will write. Sometimes, I even have some free time to do it....but then I sit in front of the computer....and I freeze. Suddenly, every cute moment doesn't seem so cute when I start to type. The words are not as sweet if you don't here Jaxon saying them. Azlyn's great personality can not be captured in words. I get stuck, and then, I walk away...
Well, tonight I'm just going to type. It doesn't matter if the moments don't read the same as they actually occured. When I read this again later, it will remind me of the moments....the real moments I don't want to forget.
I can't believe Azlyn is 8 months old. I know every mom says that...especially every mother of 2! She is so precious. She tells everyone Hi! It is hilarious. She says oohma for mama. She's just too excited to say mama. She says dadada which can be dada or Dot. You can hear the difference when she says it. Tonight, we swear she said Hi dada to her daddy.
She is such a people person - Little Miss Social! If you take her to a birthday party, a restraunt, shopping, etc. she just sits there, smiles, and says, Hi! She doesn't sleep or fuss, and she would never nurse! She might miss something! She doesn't even want her paci! And the girl loves her paci! She will nurse, paci, nurse, paci sometimes at home - she is so silly!
She had her first high fever last week. You would think a baby with a fever would be fussy, but not Azlyn. She just slept and cuddled all day. That's not really her style so you could tell she was sick. She is one busy girl normally! You can't keep her still in your arms. She reaches and squirms...yet she wants you to hold her. I remember with Jaxon I didn't wear necklaces becuase he would pull on them and break them. I like to wear necklaces with Azlyn. It keeps her more focused and still as she plays with them! She thinks her brother is amazing. She reaches out and grabs him. She says ahhhhhhhhh and he says, "What's Azy saying?" or "She likes me." They are too adorable together! When we went to the doctor, she weighed over 17lb. She still doesn't have any teeth, but she is eating cereal and other baby snacks. She's pretty good at picking up those little snacks! I think she is amazing. I can tell what a happy and strong little girl she is going to be! I love watching her grow!!
Jaxon on the other hand is a mess! I think he scared this lady in the neighborhood to death today! He was running down the pathway behind our house....away from me even though I told him to stop - typical...well, he was getting close to the end of the block where it meets the street. She was screaming at her daughter, "The street is coming! Don't let him near the street!" I'm carrying Azlyn, but finally I think I guess I better run and get him. Of course, I don't catch up in time. He turns to the left, but he is on the sidewalk....like I knew he would be. I catch up and he says, "I want to go around the block!" I drag him back to the path towards our house. I tell the lady, "Bye and sorry he scared you." He scares the --- out of other parents. I know I should be scared, too. I shouldn't trust him, but I do....he's naughty, but he knows what he's doing. I know. I shouldn't trust a 2 year old...
But the stuff that comes out of his mouth....so funny! I will attempt to share some of it even though it is not as cute to you because you can't hear him say it and he is not your boy!
Jax is holding a raw onion.
Jax: Can I lick it?
Me: I wouldn't do that if I was you, but you can.
He licks it.
Jax: Taste alright to me.
Dad turns out the light.
Jax: Dad, turn that on. I can't see that well.
Well? I think even I would have said good!
My mom was making croissants and he looked at the wrapper and said, "oh, a crescent."
Jax: The goose is coming!
We get somewhere safe like in the "dark cave" (under the covers).
Jax: Whew! That was a close one. Now we are safe and sound.
(Crazy imagination!)
He calls his toy turtle a "leather back sea turtle."
He always calls a group of people "guys" like he's from California.
"Oh, you guys!" and gives us all a big hug.
When I come home from work, he runs to me with his arms wide open, and says, "Mommy! I missed you so much!" It is so dramatic and precious! He does it daddy, too.
One day when I was leaving for work, I was hugging Azlyn bye. Jax said, "Don't worry, Baby Girl. She'll be back soon."
When we were outside, he told the little girl across the street that Azlyn was inside. She asked who Azlyn was. He said, "Azlyn is a big girl!"
He pulled an ornament off the tree, and asked what it said.
Me: Laugh
Jax: No, /h/ /g/ /u/...
He was holding the ornament backwards and saying the sounds.
He basically "reads" books by telling the story of the 3 Little Pigs - always starting with "Once upon a time..." or a variation of Brown Bear. He wanted me to read Mr. Brown Can Moo, but I asked him to read it instead. He opened it and said, "Brown cow, brown cow, what do you see? Oh, that's not right. I'm frustrated!"
One day, he was painting and I left the room. I came back and he had painted all over himself. He said, "You like it. You're happy." What? Does he think he has the force or something?
After he gets in trouble for something...such as taking all the pictures above my bed off the wall....he says, "But it's okay." Ummmm, no it's not. He just wants forgiveness.....
I can't begin to describe how much I love that boy! I love watching Azlyn grow into a little person like him! I am so blessed...
